With more than 6100 points of sale in 51 countries, Point S is the largest independent tyre dealer and car maintenance network in the world. Established in South Africa since 2012, we aim to keep spreading our expertise in the tyre and car maintenance service business.

Point S South Africa started with the cooperation between 12 tyre dealers from different backgrounds, who've come together to form a coordinating group, working to offer better products and services. We became part of the Point S international family in 2012 and kept expanding our network up to 100 points of sale. We offer quality brands ensuring that our customers get the best value for money. Together, our retailers always research and develop product ranges, service offerings and vehicle technologies, not only at a local level but all over the world as well, in order to enhance our expertise in the opinion of our customers.

Growing in 2019 by 20 points of sale, we are committed to expand our network in order to ensure national coverage and make it easy for our customers to have access to quality products and services offered by Point S. We work hard so that our customers can enjoy a stress-free maintenance of their vehicle.

 

The Point S Network

As one of the biggest brands in the tyre business, Point S has achieved an international presence and a powerful worldwide network.

Our story

Originally a French tyre dealer association created by independent business entrepreneurs in 1971, Point S is today the biggest independent tyre dealer network in the world.

The international headquarters have been established in 2006 and are based in Geneva, Switzerland. The company is named Alianco and its multi-cultural team is in charge of several missions for the network:

  • Developing the network worldwide
  • Negotiating agreements of international cooperation with the different suppliers
  • Negotiating with international key account customers
  • Creating and developing the range of Point S private label products
  • Creating and implementing some marketing and communication support to support the countries in their own strategies
  • Implementing and monitoring common quality standards in terms of retail operations and services
  • Ordering and managing market surveys in order to keep an accurate vision of the different market trends and anticipate the future evolutions of the market
  • Developing new IT solutions in B2B & B2C and information systems
  • Coordinating policies of the different Point S countries and helping the national headquarters sharing their best practices.

 

After consolidating a very strong network in Europe, Point S is now present in other continents as Asia, Africa, North and South America. 

Our missions

The mission of the international headquarters is to defend the independence of the network and make sure that it remains profitable for all the members around the world.

To achieve this goal, they negotiate an interesting purchasing policy based on the strength of the international presence, they develop some marketing and communication policies to achieve a global presence in the media, providing some strong sell-out support. They also develop some innovative solutions in order to keep on meeting the challenges of the automotive industry.
